Replace vinyl kitchen flooring

We would like to replace our vinyl kitchen flooring which is pretty worn with new vinyl, space is approximately 1.8m x 3m (irregular shape). Preferable to replace with a kind of brown or gray neutral stone-looking colour vinyl. Unsure if new vinyl can be laid over existing flooring or not. Located West Auckland.
