Job description

Laminate & Floating Flooring
North Shore

Published: 8 March 2023

Replacement of Kitchen Lino & Lounge Carpet with Hanwood EVA-backed rigid vinyl plank (or equivalent, suitable for water splashes in the kitchen). Total area is approximately 38 sq meters made up of the Kitchen - approx. 17.2 sq meters (roughly 4m x 4.3m) Lounge - approx. 21 sq meters. (roughly 3.5m x 5.5m with a small alcove at one end) All very approximate due to kitchen benches etc. Scope of works to include; >Removal of existing vinyl flooring* and carpet/underlay. >supply and fitting of new laminate flooring (also with respect to all necessary skirting board works as required). > removal of waste materials from site. Other information: >*Your call whether you want to leave the existing vinyl down, and lay the new laminate on top of it (requiring a separate new underlay in the lounge area), or fully remove the vinyl. The only requirement on our side is that because the two rooms are joined via a double door the flooring will all need to be level. >If you do opt to take the vinyl up, there is some historical minor water damage to the chipboard sub-floor in the kitchen, nothing major but if it is exposed anyway it would be useful to swap it out with some plywood or similar - one to discuss.. >Although the double doors make this like one large space, because it is the entirety of our living space in a relatively small house; for the purposes of installation we will likely need to do them sequentially and not all together as we simply don’t have the physical room to move all our furniture/appliances out of both simultaneously, so will have to move them from one room to the other >we do not own a hand truck etc, so will likely require assistance moving the whiteware out of the kitchen when required - fridge especially.

In a house where no floor is flat and no wall is even, Eddie's attention to detail, and just getting it right is nothing short of amazing. Can't recommend his work and communication highly enough
