Bamboo Flooring repair

Bamboo flooring is not sitting flush on the floor - bumpy and bouncy. Presume this is due to dampness? The floor has lifted and started to unclick. There has not been a gap left at the edges for the expansion of the product. The flooring was installed 6 years ago by the previous home owner.
