Trellis to add height to existing fence for privacy

We have rentals either side of our property and would like to add height to our fences so that we have more privacy and also to possibly grow a climbing vine on one to block out noise (as much as that's possible). One side (first photo with vegetable garden) is 10.7m in length and the second side (with colourful clothesline) is 17.7m in length. We know this could be quite an expensive job so any creative ideas are welcome. We also would rather that the trellis be attached on our side of the fence so realise that it will have to come down a bit from the top (so may need to be higher in height to compensate for overall height). Hope all this makes sense.
