I already had a rough prototype of a 'sturdy/solid (not light and flimsy) portable/folding Lectern made (previous carpenter no longer available). But am looking to further refine the design with a goal to selling it as an alternative to current 'not so sturdy/lightweight' portable Lecterns. The prototype simply folds out/slots together to form a very solid Lectern. The top and bottom peices are solid oak, and the foldling section is plywood. Basically, the core folding plywood section is held firmly together by slotting into top and bottom Oak pieces. The new design is purely 'more pleasing to the eye', as the overall concept has proven to work over and over without any problems (no screws required, however, that could be an option for those wanting a more permanent setup). Obviously this would be ongoing work if all goes well - Pictures attached (let me know if you need more Sketchup measurements/images)
