Brass kettle conversion - passion project

I am looking for someone to help me with a passion project. the conversion of an old brass kettle (samovar). It is originally designed for coals but I want to install a heating element and make it electric. I have an element from a hot water urn I just need help to cut and weld it into the brass kettle. I have included photos of my first attempt. There is no rush, so happy for it to be someone's side project. If you can help with the electrics too that is great but i can do that part myself otherwise. my main issue is welding the hot plate into the base of the jug. I tried soldering but quickly realised it wouldn't stand the heat of boiled water and isn't recommended for portable water, so I need a proper weld. Happy to pay more if someone can do the electrics too
