Job description

Concrete Sealing
Wellington

Published: 19 April 2015

My house is 1970's cinder block construction. When it rains, I get damp internal carpet due to water running down the external wall then seeping into the gap between the cinder blocks and the supporting foundational concrete pad. I want a 10-20cm sealant strip applied to the join, wherever it is exposed around the exterior of the house (approx. 50m total length). It must be a long lasting concrete sealant layer that is waterproof/watertight. My preference would be for a heat bonded application, but open to suggestions. Depending on the solution prep may be required to strip some paint / existing slurry. See attached photos for examples of areas to be sealed.
