Hi, I have a concrete walled garage (~1930) that has cracking in the lintel area of the road facing front. One of the horizontal iron rods within the lintel has completely rusted though and the concrete is rotten and crumbling on the inside. However, its fairly isolated to the lintel area so I'd like to have the concrete cut out so that I can repair with a new rod and concrete. Integrity of the garage is fine, all walls are square and no sign of sag in the good concrete above the lintel etc (there is another iron reinforcing rod above I believe). I am open to whether I should have the whole job done or just the cutting/removal part so I can get on with the repair. Photos attached show approximate area I think needs to be cut out and the nature of the concrete rot on the inside. But it may be best for anyone interested to take a closer look. Many thanks, Mike
