Job description

General Concreting
Wellington

Published: 18 September 2014

I think concreting would be preferable in backyard. This portion is between the houses, but have easy access to the area. I have given few details below so you will get a rough idea. At present there's a clay on the floor and bit of wheat is growing. Bit of landscaping work will be required to make the area ready for concreting and some part needs to make straight or steps can be an option. Once you come along you will get an idea but I have provide few details what is required to get the job done so you can provide an estimate cost. Your suggestion will be taken to consideration to keep the cost down of the project. Below is just what I think. What needs to be done for concreting job? 1. Scrape and lower area along side of house. The concrete area is around 60 square meter in total. 2. All excess dirt waste to be graded down the bank at the rear end of the section. Very easy to do just needs to push down to the end. 3. Existing retaining wall at top of section to be removed and reinstalled to fit with new heights. 4. Step to be formed to allow for height difference from footpath to new concrete level. (Just an option) 5. New concrete pad to be laid alongside house. 6. Pad to be laid on a compacted 50mm thick top course aggregate base. 7. Pad to be steel reinforced, 20mpa concrete, with a minimum depth of 80mm. 8. Pad to have four slot drains and sumps install along length of pad to control water runoff. 9. Small retaining wall to be constructed at the end of the pad to hold the concrete and make the end line. What needs to be done for fencing? 1. New Fence to be built approximately 25 metres long. 2. First 12 metres of fence to be 1800mm high. Last 13 metres to be 1500mm height (Or we can keep same height) 3. Fence to be constructed from 100mm square, Treated fence posts 100 X 100mm X 2.4m, double bolted to the existing retaining wall. New fence posts can be post on old posts, so it’s easy don’t need to dig. 4. Fence to be horizontal framed with 100x40mm, pine treated decking timber and clad with horizontal slats 5. Additional layer of retaining to be added to the base of the fence to even ground levels out for new concrete pad 6. Fence will be stain (oil based) from both sides with the mission brown colour. Thanks for viewing the job.
