Along one side of my 1930's timber house (about 6m), the base of the cladding is close to the finished ground level. This may affect the weather tightness of this cladding. This may increase the maintenance required to the base of the cladding. I want to find out if the cladding, floor joists and bearers have rotted below the paving level. I need someone to remove the paving and excavate the yard area to achieve a minimum 150mm height difference between the house floor level and the finished paving level. Also need to add suitable drainage to the yard area to properly control storm water away from the house.
