"Im sorry that we didn't complete the job to your satisfaction. What you wanted us to do was unsafe and not practical. We completed the job to what was quoted. (Replace and Existing Driveway and Carport slab).
You wanted us to do extra and put ourselves at risk because you didn't want to spend more money and get a consent. Rules are rules, and the safety of my boys come first.
If you had a building on top of you, will you want to dig into the foundation? HELL NO
