Verandah balustrade/privacy panels

Hi there, We have a diagonal-stye balustrade on our verandah, and we would love to make it safer for our daughters, and more private. We would like to go for a villa-style balustrade (as per image), with simple four-sided vertical ballisters, and matching vertical privacy panels on the end of the verandah to screen out the neighbours that run floor to ceiling (image is an idea). We think the posts could likely stay as they are, and we are happy to help undertake some of the work ourselves, and paint it ourselves. Ideally the job would be undertaken before the end of the year or during December/January. Thanks
