Wood Panelling & Trim
Rodney

Published: 19 April 2021

Hidden door to push /swing inwards ( Refer attached) floor to ceiling either on a pivot or some sort of hidden hinges with possible gas arm to push it back in place ? We are about to start a Full contract New Build but at this stage they would prefer to treat this aspect separately We are wanting to find someone innovative enough to see if this can successfully be pulled off and get an idea on cost /or interest and for this to be installed in and around October 21. Not sure sure how it might work but clearly we are already priced for a standard door and GIB wall finish Detail : Feature wall marked on plans as blue as per attached . Incorporating a hidden door similar to photo but swinging or pivoting the other way – Door 760 to ceiling height (2.7m) door/wall covered by panels although open to ideas about the type of panelling as long as it successfully hides the door when closed.

This was a unique request ( hidden door within a feature wall) so neither of us knew what to expect as there was no plan - we got there in the end and Shanon and his team Mark and Matt were exceptional with their workmanship and finishing with positive comments from quests and surprise when the door is eventually revealed
