Join the gate!

I currently have a gate that has two leaves... I would like to join these together to form one, so that later I can add an automation system. The leaves are about 1.8m across, each, so the end result would be 3.6m. The hinges will need removed from one leaf so that the whole structure hangs on one set of hinges. I think the existing hinges will be ok.
