Decked driveway/garage entrance repair

The flashing type entrance into our garage has been damaged. The metal flashing and the timber underneath were broken as I pulled into the garage. It's hard to describe the garage is accessed over a small bridged driveway at street level as it's on a step bank. While we've patched it up best we can, we are concerned this will effect the water tightness of the house below . I assume the metal work and timber will need a repair.
