Back Deck

Posted 1 week ago

We have a deck at the back of the property that sits on top of an embankment, one of the bearers that is attached to a masonry firewall is rotten and at least a third of the deck planks on top are rotten and in need of replacement. Ideally we would like to make this area safe for when our daughter is running around outside. The deck is supported by steel posts at the front but the majority sits directly on the embankment. We are considering all options including replacement with a Stabi...

Simple Pergola #2

Posted 3 weeks ago

When we moved into this house 3yrs ago we had to take down the front enclosed porch as it had a big wisteria tree growing in it which helped rot the porch and became a bit useless. We weren't sure what to put back up, have now decided we definitely want the pergola. We did get a quote over a year ago and we have a budget with that in mind. I guess it will need some sort of spouting etc, and a good lasting uv top. Hoping the tradie can make some good recommendations.

Shaving bottom of pantry door in kitchen

Posted 1 month ago

The pantry door in the kitchen of my rental property won't close properly, as there does not appear to be any space between the bottom of the door and the kitchen floor. I was thinking the bottom of the door will have to be reduced so that the door can close properly. Photos from the tenants are attached.

Decking Refurbishment

Posted 1 month ago

We have a decking which had a spa pool as part of it. The spa pool has been removed leaving a large gap in the decking. The job will involve redoing the decking foundations where the spa pool was. At this point, the assumption is that the existing decking foundations are still sound. There maybe a separate task to replace the decking timber but that task will not be decided until the foundations are all done and ready for the decking to be completed. The task is not urgent as it has been like it...
