Job description

House Repair & Maintenance
Auckland

Published: 22 March 2023

I have some damages in my bathroom. I already paid a plumber to fix the leak. The water leak had damaged part of the ceiling, walls & a laundry tub. Also, a small area in an adjoining hot water closet was damaged as the plumber had to insert a new pipe from there. My insurance company's contractors are all busy fixing flood and cyclone damages. They suggested I find my own contractor and send them the quote for approval. SCOPE OF WORKS - Supply and install gib board to ceilings and walls. - Remove timber trims. - Remove existing vinyl wallpaper on remaining walls - Prepare and plaster walls and ceilings - Reinstate new timber trims. - Paint ceilings. - Paint walls or hang vinyl wallpaper - Supply and install a new laundry tub and cabinet unit. - Adjust plumbing to suit new unit. - Repair hot water closet ceiling and walls, and paint to match existing. Please provide 2 quotes, one with the walls painted, and the other with vinyl wallpaper. Also state on the quote when the job could be carried out once the quote is approved by the insurance company. The assessor advised that drying machines will be sent to my place. But non arrived so far. I am using my dehumidifier to dry the bathroom. I have already ordered a Robinhood supertub ST3101X from Mitre 10, and this should be included in the quote. My place is in Hillsborough. I am available in the afternnoons.
