Job description

House Repair & Maintenance
Auckland

Published: 6 April 2022

Hi Prospective Carpenter, I am looking to have these 2 issues ideally completed simultaneously. My address is 5e Pullman Residences, 6 Princes Street, Auckland 1010. 1 - Rattling Door There is looseness between the latch and the strike plate causing rattling when windy. This problem unresolved for a number of years has caused some damage to the adjacent paint and plaster. I am unsure if the issue was caused by the previous builder cutting out too much wood under the strike plate or the looseness of the latch. They have also appeared to have applied some glue to the strike plate. I am looking to have the strike plate shifted and some solvent to break down the glue and possibly discuss pricing of getting plaster and digitally color matched paint along the cracks separately. 2 - Wooden Backboard of Fisher n Paykel Dryer A Fisher and Paykel serviceman has informed me the backboard on the back side of the dryer is not thick enough. This has caused the dryer to hang at an angle where heavy loads of laundry put pressure on the door which causes it to stop mid-cycle. I am looking for - A plank made of a wood type that resists warping under moisture - The correct thickness against the two "plastic feet" and length to be measured out so the dryer will hang parallel to the wall. - Plank screwed into the back wall parallel to the floor. - Possible filling of the holes left by the previous screws if necessary. Feel free to message me with the following: 1. Suggested Fixes for the each issue 2. Estimated Materials cost + hourly labor pricing and duration for each respective issue. 3. Date and time for next availability. Best regards, Johnson
