Timber house. Under the eves the timber has split and come apart in various locations along both sides and the rear of the house and is in need of repair. The front eves are fine and do not need repair. The rear of the house is 11m long and the sides are 13m. The house is only 130m2, an old 1920's timber 3 bedroom home in Onehunga, so the area of work is not that large. I want the gaps cleaned and filled with a sealant , sanded and tidied up so i can paint it (you don't need to paint). There are 3-4 locations where the gaps are to large to seal, refer to photo titled "eves rear of the house (1)" as an example . In these locations i was thinking of getting some Groove Plywood Cladding from mitre 10 and the builder could cut, glue it and place it between the joists, this should look nice and clean. timeframe - no really hurry, i was just hoping to complete this before the winter months. Just so i can paint before June / July. Materials i can supply - but will need some advice on what exactly to buy.
