Replace section of timber framing next to aluminium framed windows

Replace a section of timber framing around a metal framed window in a conservatory area due to water damage / rot. Metal framed house. Have recently added a flashing to roof and had rubber replaced around the windows in order to prevent water ingress. The timber framing (see photos) is 75mm in width. The sections that need replacing are approximately 500mm (along base) and 300mm(vertical section).
