Deck step repair or replace

I am the property officer at Newmarket Placycentre. On our deck steps, some of the wood is cracked, bendy, chipped. We are looking to ascertain if we can do a temporary job or if we have to replace the entire thing. This is a parent led ECE charitable organisation, sessions run term time. If it is a bigger job, we would be looking at school holiday completion. If it is temporary repair, a Saturday would be ideal.
