Crack in floor board

A metre long crack has appeared in one of the wooden floor boards in my living room. A thin piece has separated that hasn't completely come away from the rest of the board but I figure it would be good to get it repaired as soon as possible so it doesn't get worse. The piece still fits snugly with the rest of the board so I'm hoping that it can simply be glued down.
