I have a hole in the plaster board ceiling of my entrance way. My bathroom is above it. The hole was made to access the bath plumbing when the bath outlet pipe failed and flooded the cavity between floors. I don't know if it can be patched or if the whole roof will need replacing. I suspect the roof may need replacing as there is some sagging still, caused by the flooding (it's dried out now). The hole is about 40cm by 50cm. The entranceway roof is about 2.4m by 2.1m.
