We've just pulled up carpet and there is some rotten particle board flooring that needs replacing asap before the new carpet is laid tomorrow (14 Jan 2016).

Great response. Once Klassic Build turned up the original job was actually under control. Instead they were happy to do a completely different job - new carpentry work on a doorway that previously had an aluminium frame. This work was done promptly and to a standard we were really pleased with.
