Job description

Shelving
Christchurch

Published: 1 November 2023

This listing is for two different rooms in the house for two different types of builds. The first one is for a wooden linen shelving in the hot water cabinet which currently has no shelving. Please see attached photos of the current space and also design ideas that we like. The available space is limited, here are the maximum measurements that you can work with: W:88cm H:240cm D:65,5cm The requirement is also a design that will still allow a storage of the standing vacuum cleaner (pictured in the photos) and allow its charging through the power points located on the wall (can be seen on the photos as well). We would like to have also some sort of rack included (if possible) as per the design inspiration photos, so we can hang some clothes (a sweater or two) in there for drying. The material should be wooden, preferably light coloured wood. We are happy for suggestions as there might be some wood materials that are better for linen than others. Any design conce --- are very welcome. The second one is for a nook space in the living area (see attached photos). We would love to have an in-built cabinet in there along with a set of floating shelves (2 or 3) which are seamlessly integrated into the walls. We have attached few design ideas that we like. We are looking for a Scandinavian design, light colours (thinking of perhaps a sage green cabinetry but we can discuss colours at the later process) with perhaps some smart storage solutions implemented into it, sort of like a statement piece. Please mind the power points along with the Ethernet port on the back wall (as seen in the photo) as well as the light switch. The whole design will have to be implemented around it and should be made functional. The maximum available space in the nook is as follows: D: 69cm (potentially looking at 30-40cm depth for each of the floating shelfs) W: 157cm H: 238cm (we would image something like 100cm for the cabinet itself) Thanks.

We are absolutely thrilled with the quality of work and craftsmanship that Matt has done for us, on both the nook cabinet and the wooden linen shelving. Communication was perfect and Matt also made few suggestions and ideas that we didn't think about. This job was completed in timely manner and the final result is outstanding. We highly recommend Matt and will surely use his services again if we need to.
