External wooden door repair

Door knob and lock have been forcibly removed from external door (kicked out). A temporary plywood patch is in place to secure home and attach lock and knob back to door. Door still locks! We need to know if the door can be repaired or if a new door is required. Villa door, wooden with glass panels.
