This house has been built with the deck flush against concrete cladding. The wood has expanded and caused cracks which a bit of rain has got in. We have already pulled up the deck. The lower part of the house needs to be reclad. Need to discuss wheather whole wall or patching. The job involves moving the joists away from the house. Replacing one of the joist/pile that has some rot (only a small amount). I have put the camera under the house so the picture of the rot is upside down. There is about 1-2 foot of space to work with, quite pleasant compared to some! The job will also require a cladding person to reclad/ respray once completed, (maybe recommended by the builder).
