Need to get new water heater into existing cupboard space. New heater will be larger than existing, need to remove doorway and some of the surrounding gib wall(s), then repair walls after heater is in. Will probably require some relocation of existing power cable to heater. Would appreciate any suggestions on what the door can be replaced by as old door would not fit anymore. Something like a thin plywood door? Existing door is smaller than standard, approx 460mm x 2000mm. Amount of wall to be removed will be less than 100mm.
