I have several patches of rot in (cedar) weatherboards on a 1920s bungalow. One is boards in the bottom corner of a window ( the frame of the window is OK) I have exposed the rot in this area . One is a 1 meter weatherboard ( the lowest one) below a bay window. One is an area of weather boards in a corner of the base of a bay window (the window and the sill are OK). The last is the ends 8 or 9 weatherboards where a chimney has been removed and the join with the new boards has leaked, causing the old cedar boards to rot for a short distance.
