Repair barge board and replace porch overhead

Need to replace the ceiling over the porch from old water damage. Looks like it is two pieces in an L-shape. Also the end of the barge board is rotten and the screw holding the metal covering has come out because of this. This is fairly high up on the house. Possibly this end part can be cut out and a new piece attached and then the metal covering plate re-screwed in so it looks neat and tidy. Have taken a few photos to give a better idea of what is needed.
