~20m2 Home Extension #4

I'd like to make a home extension (granny flat attached to the house) for rent. It's a quite small space, but would like to fit a bathroom, kitchenette, room/living room. The whole space is around 18m2. It's really small but definitely doable. Need advice in terms of consent, etc. I'm not sure what kind of information is required at this stage, so please contact me with any questions. I'm aware that builds require to be 1 away from the fence. But maybe we could extend the house by 2m and then have a deck from there until the fence? Creating an open space?
