Nice chap, however was let down with described timeline and some misinformation around when samples were submitted on the lab. Got the tests through in the end - it just took longer than expected and there was some doubt as to whether I would get them at all.

The job was agreed, and was due to commence on 24/7/17 with a 50% deposit of $2750 paid on 13/6/17. On --- Rick said he broke his leg and was out for action for 6 weeks. Rick offered me the refund or re-schedule. I initially wanted to re-schedule but changed my mind due to personal cir, I have been waiting for a refund since 14/8/17. I have been fair and reasonable. Communication was a nightmare. Rick spent my deposit, left me in the dark. I am in the process of taking legal action.

Reasonable and timely communication but I struggled to get any concrete contact info or evidence that Rick was operating a legitimate business. Company seemed to be in liquidation, based in ChCh but operating out of Wellington? contact details online all cut off and asking for a 50% deposit for a labour based job. Didn't have a good feeling and decided not to proceed.
