Steve’s design inspiration is influenced by his travels, having visited iconic buildings such as the Treaty House in Waitangi, one of the first pre-fabricated houses in New Zealand, and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater. These experiences have shaped his approach, guiding him to create alterations that feel like a seamless, natural extension of the existing structure, while sometimes drawing a clear distinction between the old and the new.
