Hayden of Straight Edge Building Ltd’s is a top-notch builder and an awesome guy to deal with. Hayden was recommended to us, and we would (and often have) wholeheartedly recommended him to others since he completed our work. Hayden was the lead contractor on our renovation project for approximately 6 months, rejigging our entire 2nd story and a good part of our ground floor, including 2.5 new fully tiled bathrooms, multiple bedrooms, a garage conversion, extensive decking, new fence, new doors and windows, 2 skylights, a new staircase, a new office space and more. He is very easy to work with - super friendly and a great proactive communicator. He is very capable, hardworking, fast, and efficient, delivering quality workmanship, on time and on budget. We negotiated a fixed budget (which I believe is Hayden’s preference) which worked really well for us, and he was very fair, reasonable and transparent when it came to completing and charging for extras and unexpected surprises which always come up in a reno (all agreed in a written schedule which was updated and shared regularly). We had him in our home, with our kids and dogs almost every day for 6 months and I wouldn’t hesitate to say he is great to have around, trustworthy, honest and thoughtful when it comes to working in your home (especially when you have to live there while the renos are happening around you!). I can’t recommend Hayden of Straight Edge Building highly enough. Simon & Wendy
