We recently took on this unique project using recycled bricks carefully salvaged and cleaned from an old chimney and fireplace.
To ensure the new section didn't look "too fresh" against the rest of the house, we paid attention to the finest details: 🎨
The Mortar: Slightly altered the tint to perfectly match the existing mortar, which started white but naturally grayed over the years. 📐
The Finish: Raked and flat-tool jointed the brick mortar joints to flawlessly replicate the original pointing.
Check out the transition from prep to completion! Can you even tell where the old wall ends and the new one begins? 👇
