FLAT ROOFS RESTORATION
Project description
The existing roof, being over 20 years old, had reached the end of its serviceable life. The owners wanted to extend the lifespan of the roof by a further 20 years, so we recommended and installed a double-layer torch-on membrane system.
The base sheet was mechanically fixed over the existing membrane, providing a stable and secure foundation. A cap sheet was then fully torched onto the base layer to create a durable, weatherproof finish.
This system is particularly well suited to flat roofs, as it helps manage any trapped moisture between the existing layers while also allowing for natural movement within the roof structure. The flexibility of the membrane enables it to move with the building, reducing stress and contributing to a longer-lasting, reliable roofing solution.
