Timber Stairway & Macrocarpa Step Installation – Akaroa

Project description

Jill approached Geoscapes NZ with a property in Akaroa that presented significant access challenges. I collaborated closely with her to develop a cost-effective solution that would ensure safe and functional access throughout the site.

The scope of work included:
-Constructing a timber stairway with handrails for secure footing
-Installing multiple sets of macrocarpa steps to navigate elevation changes
-Lifting, leveling, and relaying several square meters of paving to improve surface stability and appearance

Jill provided the following feedback:

Darren travelled from Christchurch to Akaroa to meet with us and discuss our requirements and he made several excellent suggestions. Within a few days we had a fully detailed, fully costed quote, which we accepted with confidence. Several large steps were constructed, a staircase with handrail built and installed, paving lifted, levelled, and relayed using the correct fill under and between the tiles, and garden edging also installed.
