Project

Dublin Street New Build Villa

Project description

Nestled on the outskirts of Martinborough, this quaint new villa build looks as if it has always been there.
The site for this project presented some interesting challenges, being both short on space and located in a flood zone. It required careful consultation and design to come up with a solution that would solve both issues.

The choice of a sturdy raised timber pile foundation not only addressed the flood issue, but added to the period charm of the property, with an enticing veranda gracing the entrance to the home.

Inside, rustic wooden floors, tongue and groove panelling, colonial trims and decorative archways all evoke the essence of the early 1900s. A turret-style sitting room captures the sun at the rear of the home.

This new villa build is a harmonious blend of the past and present, encompassing all the features of a period style home while offering all the comforts of modern materials and technology. It stands as a testament to thoughtful planning, meticulous execution, and the enduring appeal of a villa.
