We’re a small family-owned garage door repair business based in One Tree Hill, Auckland.
I started Technic Garage Door Repairs in 2024 because I got tired of seeing Auckland homeowners stressed over unreliable garage doors. After years of repairing them, I decided to do it properly, with honest advice, good parts, and no corner cutting.
As a family operation, we keep things straightforward. We show up when we say we will, explain everything clearly, and treat your home with respect. Our goal is simple: fix your garage door right the first time so you don’t have to worry about it again.

For years, I have been searching for somebody to replace my busted garage door bulb. Scrolling the FB page, I chanced upon Matt's Technic Garage Door Repairs company and texted if he could replace my garage bulb. He said yes but, suggested to also have the garage door serviced, as well, to save money. Why not? I figured that it needs preventative maintenance anyway, since we have been at our place for more than nine years. I could just imagine the security problems that may occur if the garage door do breakdown. Matt arrived promptly in the afternoon of the same day. Briefly explained the things he'll do...and went on with his job. He discovered that eight of the ten garage door rollers had crushed bearings (Matt explained that if these were not replaced, these will strain the motors and eventually lead to a breakdown). He also replaced the bulb, applied lubrication to various garage parts, replaced the garage door rollers, and adjusted the doors to improve insulation. Did a fantastic job in a couple of hours!
