⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nick from Rodney Timber Floor Sanding did an excellent job resurfacing two sets of our timber stairs at our home in Torbay, Auckland. The stairs were quite worn and tired, but Nick carefully sanded them back and refinished them with a moisture-cure polyurethane coating, which has completely transformed them. The finish is incredibly durable and looks fantastic – the timber grain really stands out now. Nick was professional, reliable and clearly very experienced with timber floor sanding and stair refinishing. He also kept everything tidy and made the whole process easy. If you’re looking for floor sanding, stair sanding or timber floor restoration in the North Shore or Rodney area, I would highly recommend Rodney Timber Floor Sanding.

Nick did a great job in sanding our kwilla exterior decking. The deck had not had any regular maintenance for at least six years and had mould and cupping on some of the more weather exposed boards. Nick sanded the whole thing and now with two coats of quality oil it looks new again. After several years without maintenance the mould and weathering has certainly taken hold but once the decking was fully sanded the timber came up beautifully again. With two fresh quotes of quality decking oil to Kwila hardwood has really come back to life and should now be well protected from the coastal weather in Whangaparoa. We are in Red Beach and I had heard good things about Rodney Timber Floor Sanding - so contacted him as we had a tricky brief. We have Matai hard-wood flooring and wanted to lighten it and take the yellow tones out of it. We wanted it looking natural, but protected. I couldn't see anyone who had achieved this, or was prepared to give it a go (without going streaky or pick!). Nick provided a range of samples, and found us a product that provided the best look - it is perfect! With a naturally raw/matte looking finish, and a coat of whitener, our floors have gone from a shiny yellow finish, to a matte look in a sandy almost blonde colour. We love the floors - they look absolutely awesome! Nick's communication, attention to detail and service was 10/10. He is a real stickler for doing things right and doing it properly. He even helped us to cover the floors, ready for the next trade, as we were away. Totally recommend these guys! Reply: Thanks Fleur for your kind words. Lightning the timber and achieving a natural ,matte , blonde’d look using Loba Invisible 2K Protect with a white additive is extremely tricky to get right first time, but we were thrilled with how it turned out.
