Project wrapped up at this luxury home in Omaha. The open-plan kitchen creates a perfect space for entertaining — and building those exposed rafters was a rewarding challenge!

Another glimpse of our Omaha new build — vertical shiplap cedar cladding with dark Ironsand-tinted negative detail for a sharp, modern finish. Topped off with a statement Kwila deck.

Puhoi deck we completed at the end of last year — how’s that view? We used Fijian Mahogany decking to tie in with the existing macrocarpa accents throughout the property.

Standing frames at our new build in Whangaripo. We chose LVL 4x2 framing on this one for straighter, more stable walls — less twisting and bowing means a better finish and fewer lining issues down the track.

Vitex deck wrapped up for a local home building company — this one finished in Vitex hardwood for a clean, natural look with great durability.

Using our small tight-access machine to dig in behind this block wall and install waterproofing and drainage to fix a flooded minor dwelling. For this job, we squeezed through two 900mm gates — not every project is glamorous, but sometimes playing in the

Large pool cut completed for a client — this one was a tricky dig, with sloped perimeter footings and 3-metre-deep cages drilled into solid ground.

Small retaining wall constructed — believe it or not, these poles are embedded over 2.5 metres deep, as specified by the engineer, due to the nearby road creating additional load on the wall.

Architecturally designed pole shed going up — from site cut to concrete pour to joinery install, this project is a great showcase of our full capability across building and earthworks.

Did a great job at clearing the stumps and cleaning up the area, along with building the fence and finishing it all with topsoil and grass seed.

Klay has been an exceptional builder on my project. He joined midway through when my previous contractors abruptly left, leaving me with substantial financial losses. Not only did Klay deliver work of the highest quality, but he was also a joy to have in my home. He provided invaluable support in obtaining the certificate of acceptance, which included addressing the issues caused by the prior builders. Additionally, Klay demonstrated great care for my family environment; with two dogs and elderly parents living at the property, he ensured the dogs were safe and secure, preventing any escapes while other contractors were on-site. He also took the time to engage in conversation with my dad, who loves to chat, making the whole experience even more pleasant. I would happily recommend klay and the team at GNC. Klay is a good genuine trustworthy guy that happens to be a really good builder you wouldn't know what the difference between good and bad builders are until you've done a renovation or new build . Save yourself the trouble and get GNC in from the start. There now my go to builders for any future work!

Great Northern Construction built a carport off the side of our house, large enough to keep our 8m motorhome out of the weather. Klay was informative and very knowledgeable, and came up with ideas and suggestions that I hadn't even considered. Using those ideas we now have a very smart motorhome shelter that blends in with the house. Extremely happy with the result. All in all a top experience!
