To any potential client. I am an Architectural Designer/Technician with over 14 years of experience in the Architectural field. I am also a qualified fabrication engineer so can see the practicability within a project.
I specialise in alteration work, from simple wall removals, bathrooms, right up to major alteration works. I do residential design and drafting, and light commercial work if the opportunity arises.
My style of design and draughting is simple and functional, to suit a persons wants and needs no matter their lifestyle. I listen and give advice if I see something is not practical either functionally or in terms of build-ability.
Daniel Miller
113 Warrington StreetHome alteration in Christchurch for an old 1920's dwelling. The brief was to modernise and bring the living area, kitchen and bathroom up to modern day living with an open plan feel.
After asking a builder to remove two walls so that they could open their living area, it was soon discovered that one was load bearing. I was asked to provide a solution to hold the roof up. After measuring the affected area and discussing options, the client was very happy to have a simple solution while saving money on materials and keeping the structural beam out of view due to limited space within the roof structure. This was done as an exemption so there was also a saving in cost with consenting.
