Dishwasher service

I asked for a dishwasher service as the top drawer didn't seem to be washing properly and the bottom drawer still had water in it at the end of the cycle. He asked what the problem was on arrival even though I had explained it in an email. I was asked to take the few items that were in the dishwasher out whilst he was inspecting it. He couldn't find anything wrong except the water pipe needed adjusting. I thought a service would involve more.
