I recently used Carpet Repairs to do a patch repair of a stretched carpet seam and a spot clean for a raspberry cordial spill on a beige carpet. On both occasions the service was fantastic, and there is no longer any evidence of the cordial, or the hideous brown circle that developed after we tried to clean the wool carpet ourselves. We were completely satisfied with the job initially, until my mother got sliced by a piece of sharp metal sticking out of the carpet. This is a safety hazard and unfortunately, it was not spotted by the technician upon completion of the job. The response was quick and the technician came back and fixed it the next morning. If not because of this incident, I would certainly rate the job a 5 star. Reply: Hey Bob & Mia, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It turns out the metal was staple leftover from the previous installation, which definitely should have been removed. I had booked a carpet clean and when Andrew came talked me into a carpet stretch first as: A it cleans better and B helps the carpet to last longer because eventually cracks appear and it is too late . He worked efficiently and already the carpet looks better. Still needs a clean but I appreciated his advice and would certainly recommend Carpet Repairs. He could have just cleaned it and then we would have had future problems. He knows his stuff! Update...... Today we our carpet cleaned and it looks amazing. It was badly marked and now I fail to see any spots not clean. Thank you again Andrew. Pity help anyone who drops anything on my nice clean carpet!!! The service from start to finish was outstanding. From my first enquiry to completion of the job was quick, efficient and timely. I thought my carpet may have been beyond repairing but Lee did a fantastic job. He seems very experienced with many years of industry knowledge. No more frayed edges beside my tiled kitchen floor and no more or nails sticking up from the carpet and Lee used his own vacuum to clean up afterwards. I was particularly grateful for the advice that Lee gave about the life expectancy of my carpet and what to look out for when the carpet is ready for replacement.
