These are points copy pasted from a building report on our property - Elevated non-invasive moisture readings were recorded to the right side of the music room and could be the result of moisture seeping its way through the concrete insitu wall – refer item below where moisture is penetrating other side and evidenced by efflorescence. - Efflorescence in the left side of the lower area (room behind the garage / storage area) is symptomatic of moisture ingress occurring through the concrete wall – possibly the result of poor or inadequate waterproofing and we recommend contacting the services of an accredited waterproofing installer. Outside of the report, I have noticed moisture pooling in the subfloor, although there does seem to have been work done in there to help w drainage. A moisture barrier, some builders chip and a pipe to help w drainage. We had a crack in the ceiling recently and are concerned about more settlement of the property. We have a structural engineer scheduled to check out the property but believe any moisture issues should likely be dealt with first.
