5 months ago, we had our 90sqm 1940’s stuccoed brick cavity house reroofed converting from a tile roof to an iron roof with a waterproof felt type underlay. With the winter weather and the roof space now being more air tight we’ve found the underside of the waterproof felt barrier dripping with water in the mornings. Most mornings we’ve had to go up in the roof space to dry the condensation and air it out from below to prevent mould developing. There weren’t any vents in the roof originally as the concrete tile roof breathed naturally. through the gaps between tiles. Unsure what to do from here as original roofer will not assist any further. Ideally hoping to find an engineer, trades person or roofer who has addressed these issues in the past and is 100% sure they can solve our problem. FYI we’re on a high water table near Western Springs, don’t have a ground water vapour barrier as yet and need to find someone to do this plus put more foundation air vents in as old ones are mostly covered
