We are renovating two small rental flats in Manurewa. Each one needs tiles in the small kitchen, bathroom and toilet. Each one is about 16 m2, and we have chosen a 400 mm square tile from Tile Depot. The rooms have previously suffered from water damage which we have repaired, and we would like tiles up the bottom of the walls (like skirting) and waterproofing to protect the new gib and cabinets. We would like the jobs done in the next few days, so that the kitchenettes can go in. One flat is ready to go now, and the other one will be in a couple of days. The floor is concrete and is nice and clean. Both flats are vacant and empty. We would like quotes for this, and will only take a tiler with good references We want a professional job done that looks good and will last for many years. Thanks for your help.

William's work was good, but he left a few small bits unfinished which we then got someone else to do. However, our major complaint would be that he is really difficult/prickly to deal with. He has a grumpy/sour attitude which made it hard to communicate with him, and he managed to upset all of my other tradesmen on site! I wouldn't use him again for this reason.

Tradesperson reply
"This woman attempted to project manage while not being on site, and was out of her league, ie amateur. She changed the plans while the job was in progress, affecting my schedule. I fulfilled the work required of me and according to price, any more work as requested by the owner was extra to the price, which I was within my rights to refuse.
My attitude? I had no problem liaising with the builder, who was the only other tradesman there, so the owner has her own issues and lack of professionalism to admit to"
