Shower tile or surface over existing tile

There is tile there and all seems to be intact with no leaking. Looking at tiling over for a hopefully cheap job and new look. Would take advice on tile size before purchase. They go up the sides slightly.

Adding soundproof panel on existing wall

Replace broken tile(s), renew metal edging around them and regrout where necessary. Have a number of spare tiles to match. Looking for a better edge option around the tiles than the current as this was not flush and hence people with trip on it and dislodge the edging
