Advice on taking out a wall section

I am wanting advice on cutting out a section of wall to my front entrance. I’m certain the walls and pillars all have steel reinforcing in them. The section to be cut is at the bottom of the wall between steps and pillars. I don’t have the original plans unfortunately. It’s a small job, but all I want is some professional advice on whether this will change the structural integrity of the wall.
