As per photos below Fran and I have 2 handrails for the stairs in our house, in Ridge Road, Waiake, Auckland 0630. We did not install the handrails and would ideally prefer them to be on the other side of the stairs*, and also to be unpainted timber. The higher handrail is 1930mm long, the lower handrail is 2345mm long. The brackets are ok and I think could be reused. The walls that we would like the handrails on have stair lights, lower than the handrails would be, but I suppose there could be other wirings in those walls, and I do not know if there are studs in the right places for the installation of new handrails. Can you please give us an idea if this is the sort of job that you do, and a quote on cost. Not sure if this needs an onsite visit ? Thanks Barry Jones --- (*Or we would be happy to have timber handrails on both sides, but the stairs are not wide enough for that unless you have a magic solution that problem)
